Comfort. protection. and guidance are the key features of the new Saucony Guide 17. Saucony’s flagship stability running shoe has been reimagined for a softer and smoother ride with a bevy of design features that provide support and guidance for runners and walkers who overpronate.
The Guide 17 still features Saucony’s soft and responsive PWRRUN foam. just more of it on a higher and wider platform for enhanced cushion and stability. Sidewalls cradle your foot for a supportive fit and an asymmetric midsole provides an even more stable ride. The end result is a cushioned and stable workhorse everyday trainer for runners and walkers who rely on a touch of support in their shoes.
WHY PACERS CARRIES THESE SHOES:?
The most important shoe in every runner’s closet is the everyday trainer. You want something that has enough cushion and support to hold up for long runs and everyday use. but you also would like a little versatility if you decide to pick up the pace a bit or [gasp] make a trip to the gym.
The new design of the Saucony Guide 17 makes for the perfect everyday workhorse every runner and athlete needs. It may not be the most exciting shoe out there. but it’s not meant to be. What the Saucony Guide 17 gives you is a reliable shoe to cushion and guide you through any run. walk. or workout.?
WHAT’S NEW:
The Saucony Guide 17 represents a completely new era of the Guide line of stability running shoes. Traditional medial posting has been replaced by CenterPath Technology. which incorporates a variety of design features to create an inherently stable ride that should work well for more runners.?
A wider base. higher sidewalls. and an asymmetric design all combine for a stable shoe without the need for a medial post. A lower heel-to-toe offset (6 mm in the Guide 17 vs. 8 mm in the Guide 16) combined with a rocker-shaped midsole create a smooth transition from heel to toe. Deep flex grooves in the forefoot provide a softer feel on toe-off. The result is a shoe perfectly engineered for putting in the mileage.
